We added a small herd of Katahdin Sheep in 2015 to graze alongside of the cattle. Biodiversity is one of the aspects of having a successful multi species farm. The Sheep will eat different plants than the cows and their resistance to the cattle worms and higher nitrogen manure make them a great fit. Soil improvement, Healthier animals and better meat are the goals. All of these items are interdependent.
